“AMO have been a huge help. They really do go an extra mile for their clients!” Denise Hutton-Gosney

Who were Razzamataz when AMO got involved?

In the year 2000, determined to provide exceptional and affordable singing, drama and dance lessons for children aged from 4 to 18, Denise Hutton launched Razzamataz Theatre Schools with just one school, thirty children and three teachers. When she came to AMO Consulting for advice, Denise had grown her business to two theatre schools (one in Paisley and one in Carlisle) and was investigating her options for expansion.

How did we help Denise?

Once Denise had decided to franchise her business, we used our skill and expertise to prepare a franchise development plan for Razzamataz. We prepared Operating Guidelines that detail how the franchise should work. We drafted a Franchise Package setting out what the franchisee will get for their money. We drew up projections, prepared a recruitment process, advised on the prospectus and did everything needed to help Denise into a position where she was able to recruit her first franchisee.

What is Denise doing now?

Razzamataz Theatre Schools gained national prominence when Denise appeared on Dragons’ Den in January 2007 and Duncan Bannatyne invested in the organisation. Since then the business has grown from strength to strength and has proved to be a very successful franchise operation. There are currently an impressive 40 Razzamataz theatre schools throughout the UK and with a dedicated team in Head Office there are ambitious plans for the future.

Razzamataz also now provides performing arts teachers to Thomsons Holidays, First Choice Holidays, Center Parcs and Haven and as well as its new family fitness service called Razz Xpress exclusively with Bannantynes Health Clubs.
